I recieved the following email:

I have been passed details of your society by the Dark Ages Society and
wondered if you could help us. We have an event called Vikings and Saxons
booked for 26 & 27 July this year, for which the booked group is now unable
to appear because of problems over dates. You are fairly local to us - we
are an Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles, 5 minutes from Junction 17, M25
and need some warriors for that weekend. Could you tell me if the Wychwood
Warriors are available that weekend and if you have any fee for attending
events? If you are able to help, perhaps you could forward a telephone
number so that I can have further discussions with you.

DAS have done events at COAM - it looks cool! I can't commit to this yet, but if WW go and I'm available I'll come along.

Hi guys

Is this awkward ? - well I suppose it could be, but here goes.

The COAM people got in touch with me recently about this show. As per the original message above, another similar society had picked it up and then cancelled because of a calendar clash and rather left them in the poo. The net result is that I've now got the show on behalf of the Vikings and those who train at Iver.

Since I remembered reading about it here I thought I would pass on this news an an invitation to you.

It's being run to Vikings rules - the same as we use at the hall - but helmets are required for all warriors,and warriors must dress as men.

If anyone is interested please drop me a line and we'll see what we can do.
