Fresher's Fair

Hey guys, hope you all had a good holiday and are all back in Oxford ready to help out with the influx of new people!

First of all: Has anyone got the banner used last year, or do we need to make a new one?
Secondly: Who has the flyer designs, and who printed them last year? How many do we need, etc?
Thirdly: Who's around and available to help out with the fair?
It's on wed 9.30-4.30, thurs 9.00-4.00 and fri 9.00-4.00, we'll need 2 people on at all times, morning and afternoon slots.

We're setting up tomorrow at 11.00-12.00, so if anyone can help with that, it would be good

I think I have the flyer design, I shall try to dig it up from the bottomless pit also known as my harddrive.

I can help at some point, but haven't been told when my collection is, so I can't be definite yet about times, although I should almost definately be free Friday afternoon, probably also Friday morning.

Ahhh, and I forgot to say that I think last year we had about 200, or was it 400? That's the sort of range you're looking at anyway. I can't remember whether we had too many/too few though.

As for stuff Dom, I think we'll need a few swords, a couple of spears, a helmet and possibly some chainmail as well. We might also need a cloak or something to throw over the stall. However, I don't think we should leave it there overnight, so if we can collect it on wednesday morning, that would be best

i have the banner, to be posted to ross tomorrow.

last year, i think we had 200 flyers, and we got rid of them in 1 day, so make it 400 and then be ready to print some more.

any nice metal, the helmet with the side flaps and chainmail neck piece, any knives etc would be good

also, what did we do with kit between the fresher fair sessions?

IIRC kit was usually left in exam schools over night during the fair. It's generally pretty thoroughly locked and I believe other societies also leave stuff there.
For those new to fresher's fair, don't forget the all important questions to be prepared for:
1. "Is that real?"
2. "are you real?"
3. "You don't actually hit each other right?"
4. "It's all plastic though isn't it?"
5. "So you're like the Sealed Knot?"

yes we left it overnight and there were no problems. I think it is probably their responsibility if anything happens to stuff as long as we are there whenever it is open. But don't quote me on that. I haven't read the small print.

I'm around and can do Wednesday morning and Thursday all day. Also Friday until 11 if that helps.

O lament, ye people. I can't do any freshers'-fairing before Friday afternoon because I now have not one but two collections (since our tutor thinks that we need more exam practice) as well as a meeting at lunchtime.
