Can I ask that people who want to go to Tintagel this summer let me know? I know this is the 3rd/4th time I have tried to organise it, and if no-one wants to go (or if only a couple do) then you can sort it out. If enough people go, then it should be done a bit more centrally, as the organisation will be harder…
Basically, it is a series of pitched battles over the 1st weekend in August, so around the 2-4th I think? not sure of the exact dates.
Anyway, it is multiperiod, and looks to be great fun.
Emanwel is going with the Devons, and has said that any WW people can chum up with them, because they are experienced and most of us are not. Any questions re the fighting should be addressed to him.
Tintagel is in Cornwall (so complex transport needs to be sorted out), right on the coast, and is the site of a castle related to King Arthur (possibly). I am not too sure, but it does have a Merlin Cave, where apparently you can hear the wizard muttering to himself - soemthing to do with acoustics…
It should be an awesome weekend, if it is anything like Hastings as an atmosphere you will love it.
