There is flexibility on the dates; I already anticipated April being bad and we've a lot of freedom on this. We can almost name a date and have it organised around us at this stage.
They will give us reasonable expenses and lunch, but they're both going to be minimal cost being Oxford based! They may not be willing to rebate a trip up from outside of Oxford, but they would happily refund Oxford bus tickets etc.
It's a museum event. Beyond that I don't have any details (I think they haven't been arranged), but it will focus on kids. Whether schools or families I'm not sure, but I suspect families.
Oxford Museum is the current option, but I'd rather do it with a University Museum if possible (joint museums event?), to mitigate the fact that they're not really paying us (at least on paper). The person I'm liaising with works at both. I'd normally guess either Pitt Rivers or Ashmolean, but both are closed, so I'm a little stumped as to how, but I'll sort it out if it becomes necessary.
What I need from wychwood:
Are we in principle for or against this?
What about the whole money thing?
What dates are GOOD, BAD and DOABLE but not ideal?
What activities would we like to do extra?
Questions to ask Caroline (the lady organising this).
Anything else people think necessary for this whole adventure…
