OK, well, it is of course up to the new committee what they feel they wannt to do about hiring things. I chatted to Ross, and we came up with a hire reciept sheet, and agreed that having a quatermaster/loan manager was a good idea. So if people would like to hire kit then they can with more control by us of what goes out and in.
I suggested Dom and I managed the hiring for this term, then passed the role onto someone else (a fresher maybe) as we will be finalists.
I can email the sheet to anyone who would like it
we don't have to use it of course :D
emxx

I agree.
I think WW can still hire out kit, but never like we did at the end of last term…
I will draft out a reciept page, and send it round to people to be assessed.
And a kit officer would be good, preferbaly the person who is holding the kit, but not necessarily.
emxx

Copied from the mailing list…

Please can I put the following suggestions to you all:
1) We cease to hire kit unless either a) a Wychwooder will be present (e.g. as an extra)
or b) the people hiring kit are known personally to a Wychwooder
2) One person is appointed to manage hire requests. No-one else may give out kit.
3) Duplicate receipts are made for all items/groups of items hired.

Don't forget, you all pay membership, which pays for group kit. If it's damaged or lost, you
don't have as many shiny things to play with any more.

I suppose this non-nested way is easier because the most recent stuff will always be at the very bottom of the page.

But it's not as elegant.

Also, create new threads seems to work fine?
