Events: Ashmolean Saxon Sagas

We were volunteers at this event organised by the Ashmolean. Children between the ages of 5 and 10 looked at kit and weapons, and did a range of activities:

• Playing nine men's morris and hnefetafl
• Making drinking horns (plastic cup plus plaster bandage)
• Making shields (cardboard plus plastic tub for boss)
• Drawing and colouring in pictures of pottery
